Elizabeth Elsbury, MBA, MA, APC, NCC
Elizabeth is an Associate Professional Counselor (APC009871) specializing in anxiety,
depression, perfectionism, self-doubt, burnout, and adult ADHD. She also works with
women - particularly working professionals and moms in the middle years - who feel
lost, stuck, or disconnected from themselves after years of thinking they are “too much”
or “not enough”. Elizabeth empowers women to reconnect with their true selves and
chart their own path forward with clarity, confidence and peace.
Elizabeth views anxiety, depression and other types of emotional distress as messengers pointing to areas in need of healing. Within a safe, supportive and non-judgmental space, she helps women explore and heal the roots of their symptoms. Her therapeutic approach blends person-centered, psychodynamic, somatic, and cognitive-behavioral therapies, with a strong emphasis on the client-therapist relationship. Through gaining insight and self-compassion, she helps clients experience growth, healing and greater well-being. Her work is grounded in helping women trust themselves, embrace their strengths, and create an authentic course forward.
After nearly two decades of a career in the corporate world, including roles in management consulting, marketing, and HR, Elizabeth followed her true calling to become a therapist. Elizabeth’s background in business gives her a unique perspective on the professional and personal challenges her clients encounter. Elizabeth understands the traps of perfectionism and the pressure of expectations. She is passionate about empowering women to clarify their values, overcome life’s challenges, and experience more fulfilling relationships with themselves and others.
Elizabeth earned a MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Richmont Graduate University, an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management, and a BS in Commerce and a MS in Accounting from the University of Virginia.
